This handsome Panerai timepiece is a 2010 unique edition, limited to 1000 units. As a dual time watch, it features a fourth hand to keep track of a second time zone. This fourth hand rotates once every 24 hours and can be set independently from the 12-hour hand. With a magnified date display at the 3 o’clock position, the ‘Panerai GMT’ provides extremely useful and easily readable on a classic Panerai dial.

Montblanc has been paying tribute to great writers with its limited edition pens since 1992. The Limited Writers Edition 2010 pen commemorates the centenary of Mark Twain’s death. The Montblanc Limited Writers Edition Mark Twain is inspired by the works of Mark Twain and his Southern roots.

Montblanc says the “sinuous curving lines on the cap and barrel of the writing instrument, made of deep blue precious resin, are inspired by the Mississippi and its shallow waves.” The top of the cap is shaped to resemble steamboat chimneys and the clip is formed by a stylised jaw’s harp. Mark Twain’s signature is located beneath the clip.

There are only 50 available worldwide, this exclusive chronograph is not only one of the most outstanding watches in the Montblanc collection but also holds a very special place in the ranks of timepieces from all the world’s manufacturers. The lucky individual who owns one can rest assured that, in terms of design and technology, his wristwatch is a genuine rarity. Even the way the stopwatch function records time is unusual and, unlike conventional chronographs, does not involve hands revolving round the main dial and counters on subdials.

The dial features two small, calibrated discs from which the elapsed seconds and minutes can be read off with the help of fixed hands. This arrangement makes the Montblanc Star Nicolas Rieussec Monopusher Chronograph a fitting tribute to the ingenious watchmaker by the name of Nicolas Rieussec who invented the chronograph almost two hundred years ago. As a leading writing instruments brand, Montblanc has a natural affinity towards chronographs (literally, ‘writers of time’, from the Greek words chronos = time and graphein = write), as reflected in the many models with stopwatch functions in the collection.

The patent awarded to Nicolas Rieussec in 1822 describes a timepiece with two rotating discs, on which elapsed times were marked using ink-filled, nib-like pointers. The principle was taken up by Montblanc in the Montblanc Star Nicolas Rieussec Monopusher Chronographs, further developed and given a contemporary interpretation that immediately appealed to discerning watch collectors and genuine watch connoisseurs.

To pay tribute to the established musician Quincy Jones, Audemars Piguet reinterpreted the signature characteristic of the contemporary Millenary collection by creating personalized transverse oval case in black steel. The middle part of the case surface underwent matte polishing treatment while the front surfaces of the bezel and lugs are subjected to light surface polishing treatment. Therefore, the vivid layer sense was produced. The chic case design is highlighted by the criss-cross matte polishing decoration. Limited to 500 pieces only world wide, the Millenary Quincy Jones has Quincy Jones’ signature and inscription “Millenary Quincy Jones-Limited Edition” engraved on the polished case back. The 45.4mm Yacht Club Chronograph is the first sporty IWC model in the Portuguese family and houses IWC’s manufacture caliber 89360. Its chronograph permits the recording of aggregate times of up to twelve hours on the common counter for the minutes and hours and can be reset to zero via the flyback function at any time while running, so that it is instantly ready to start measuring a new time. Built for sea duty, a screw-in crown and crown protection help protect against the elements, and the case offers 6 bar water resistance.
